Roman Tactics in Our History Lesson
This week, we enjoyed creating Roman tactical formations with the shields we made last week.
Roman Workshop to kick off our Roman topic in history.
Our Year Four pupils enjoyed an exciting Roman Day Workshop led by 'Those History People'. The children took part in a range of hands-on activities, including marching like Roman soldiers, making their own ink with a pestle and mortar to write letters, mixing potions to cure ailments, moulding clay pots, and crafting leather finger guards. Throughout the day, pupils showed fantastic enthusiasm and curiosity about Roman life. 'Those History People' were full of praise for the children’s excellent behaviour and engagement, which was wonderful to hear. It was a fun, memorable day that truly brought history to life for everyone involved. Thank you to the parents for their support throughout the day.

Autumn 1 - week 8 - Victorian Day!
We enjoyed going back in time for Victorian Day. The children learnt to write with a quill and ink, took part in a drill lesson and made a classic victorian game!
