In this half term, the children will be revising their letter formation and will be beginning to join. We will be reading ‘Stone Age Boy’, an exciting adventure story, set back in the stone age. This engaging time travelling story will stimulate writing opportunities. We will focus on narrative writing and will look closely at writing in full, descriptive sentences. We will learn about adverbs, prepositions and paragraphs. We will also start to learn about the rules of direct speech and how we show this in narrative writing. We will also be reading ‘How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth’, where the children will learn how to write instructions.
